As a student I find Myself with very little money alot of the time, so Ive had to make do with the free synths and effects I can find on the net, which is'nt bad considering that some of these synths are actually very good, some might even say they where better than many comercial synths. Any way due to not haveing much money Ive had to search every nuck and crany on the net to find the best free synths and effects here are all the ones that come to mind at the moment. Also they all come from KVR so just go to www.kvr-vst.com, when you get there scroll to the very right of the screen and you will see a menu saying quick instruments and effect, click on it and then click on instruments or effects or even hosts or developers and an alphabetical list will come up, just search the list for what your looking for.

Hi Super Crunchy,
I was just wondering what you think about that V2 synth, It says its a VA at KVR but to me it sounds a bit digital, have you try'd it yet, what do you recon .

Haven't tried that one myself, but I can vouch for SuperPhaser, Drumatic and Retrodelay, they are cool little freebies
I'll check it out some time

Edit: Have you tried PolyIblit? (or Iblit)... polyIblit allows more voices at once. It's seriously fat, a truly great VA...

Yeah Ive briefly try'd Poly Iblit but have never realy got stuck into it, I'll have to have another bash at that one then. The reason I ask about the V2 synth is because its a realy good synth you can make just about anything with it, the only thing is it lacks warmth, do you know of any plugins that can add warmth to cold or digital sounding synths.

P.s If you try V2 I would'nt get to stuck into a tune with it because there are problems with it, It causes bad spikes in Podium but once they start they don't go away even if you turn monitoring off and on or close and reopen, but im sure eventually this will be resolved until then Im just gonna make presets for it.

You just beat me to it... I was just about to mention the Sonalksis plug. Wow, nice freebie. Very useful and has no problems in Podium.

FreeG is a Gain / Fader plug-in that can be used for a variety of applications to increase the control and flexibility of the signal flow in the insert chain of the host - FreeG provides extensive, customizable metering features and settings.

Main controls:

The meter displays a current indication of signal level.

The main display is a classic Peak-type level meter, which follows the signal in accordance with the metering type selected on the Preferences panel.

The superposed red bar displays the current instantaneous signal RMS.
Selecting 'Pre' switches the fader to display the pre-fader, pre-pan, pretrim input signal.

The fader is the main plug-in control, and allows you to adjust the level of the incoming signal.

PEAK: This box, and the red arrows on the meter, displays the current highest peak value recorded (using the metering law configured on the Preferences panel). Click boxes to reset.

RMS: This box, and the yellow arrows on the meter, displays the current highest instantaneous RMS value recorded. Click the boxes to reset.

The Trim dial provides a course input level adjustment. The Trim range can be configured using the preferences panel.

The Pan dial allows a stereo signal to be panned to the left or to the right.

The Pan law is configured using the preferences panel.

The Flip Phase button inverts the phase of the signal, for mixing applications.

The Bypass button provides a soft-bypass for the plug-in.

The Mute button will mute the signal.

Fine mode allows for an alternate method of fine-calibration of the fader.

When the fader is set approximately, pressing 'Fine' will 'zoom in' on the fader, and offer a linear-law fader, which you can adjust with greater accuracy. The range of the Fine scale can be configured in the Preferences panel.
