Reply To: A bit of trouble with my guitar
Hey Druid! 😀
Sadly enough, you are correct. I googled “Why is DDR2 higher in cost than DDR3”, and sure enough, the same reasons came up. I did this a while ago, and kept forgetting to mention that I knew the reason why “now”, that DDR2 is so much higher than DDR3. Which is ok with me, I know supply and demand, and it’s completely understandable.
Just means I would have to save up for a DDR3 motherboard and RAM, is all. Which shouldn’t be so hard because I’ve seen a highly rated DDR3 board go as low as 50 bucks from MSI. And ASRock had a sweet MB for 84$. I’m not sure if it’s still that price but it was a AM3+ motherboard, and it’s just my little preference on CPU’s is AMD because I’m a cheapo. 😉
Thanks for the clearing up, even though I failed to mention I found out why. Heh, my fault.
