Podium is great software. a nice implementation would be the possibility to play with computer keys, you do not always have a keyboard with you when you're on the fly... what i'm also missing in most daws today is a pattern sequencer with a field for a midi note number under each pattern, some velocity, and, of course, a swing.... it's a quick and easy way for sequencing and brings different results... another suggestion is to enable ctrl+d and duplicate an event...
Thanks for this great piece of software, i'll purchase soon |

Pattern Sequencer: I assume you mean a Pattern Step Sequencer like that of FL Studio. Thats not in this program, it's more like Reason or Logic in this aspect. The Piano Roll still works great, in fact in my experience more people like editing this way vs a step sequencer, more control overall. Plus, in Podium you can change the PR to Drum Mode, there you have Note Names.
Velocity: Look at the bottom of the PR.
Swing: Select the midi notes you want to adjust, right-click 'adjust midi timing.'
Duplicate: Hit Insert or ctrl+mouse drag to duplicate. |

| if it had only the shortcuts from S1 would be fantastic ...S1 is the fastest workflow DAW ...i suggest to add custom profiles like Pro Tools, S1, Cubase, Ableton, FL ...i think would be handy to many that uses 2 DAWs ...and if we talk about workflow why not add support for dual monitors ...a detachable mixer ...or playlist ... |

while i do agree with the shortcut issue i beg to differ for some features lacking in S1 !!!
eg : select nots and draw different velocities - like a no brainer in Podium - a work around is the best possible in S1 atm and so on ... |

would you care to elaborate on how to do this in S1 :
* draw velocities for only selected notes - no brainer in Podium
* alter velocties with keyboard shortcuts - no brainer in Podium
i do admit the routing is a breeze in S1 though |

I have an idea.
When I solo some tracks I can then unsolo all of them clicking a common solo button above the track region. But when I click that button once again - solo configuration do not return to previous seting. Offten need such a function.
What do you think about it? |

You could use the Undo button or Ctrl+z |
