double-click to set loop/punch-in start stop points

On my wish list, is to be forced to double click to set the loop start/end, punch in/out points.

I've lost count of the number of times I've intended to click to set the cursor and instead, because I clicked in slightly the wrong place, I've moved my loop or punch in/out point.

I have everything nicely set up for recording or looping, and then I mess it up when all I intended to do was move the cursor.

It would alleviate a lot of my clumsiness if I could no longer make that mistake.

Just thought I suggest it (as a configurable option I suppose, to maintain backward compatibility) since I've made that mistake a bunch of times today even though I'm trying to be careful.

That would be nice. I've done the same mistakes from time and time again. But I'm so used to it when I use Podium.

Meh. But it would be a nice feature for those not used to it, but make a "checkbox" option in preferences or something. I mean once "Shift" was changed to "Alt" for horizontal scrolling and stuff it kind of messed me up a bit.

Hmm, personally, I never use the timeline ruler to position the cursor, but middle-click instead (with the middle mouse button bound to the thumb button on a 5-button mouse)! This has the invaluable bonus that it works wherever you click on the timeline.

That being said, I have no objections.

I figured out why I keep repeating this mistake. Normally, the timeline row is the top row. Once I enable looping or set a punch in point, the timeline row is no longer the top row. I keep forgetting and keep clicking in the top row to set the cursor except sometimes the timeline row is no longer the top row.
