|
|
I use an ASIO audiocard, exactly Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro. For communication, for instance, in Cubase 5 or FL9 or even Samplitude 11 I use native ASIO 24/96 AC00 driver. And it works great!
But I cannot use it with Podium. When I try to select it, the program tells me that the device is occupied by another application. It's very similar when you try to utilize Asio4All but this is not that case. Furthermore, it never happens with other DAWs! In all DAWs I do can use that driver including when Windows Media Player plays.
:What can I do to use this driver in Podium? The point is that only this driver and no other from the list permits 5ms response.
I have tried a lot of different things: turn off all the Windows applications that could use audio, I even turned off Windows audio scheme! But I think that there could be other way to do it... |

| Make sure you haven't enabled the "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" in the MIDI output list. |

Hey, that may be the problem! I did enable "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" last night and couldn't find why the hell I cannot use that driver. So I will untick that parameter and will tell you if it works.
Thanks! |

I still have this problem. I unticked all MIDI-out interfaces but the problem still occurs. It seems, that Asio4All is the only driver that gives me low latency but it isn't such good as mine native and it fails after some time of working (appear clicks while play the tracks).
Any other DAW but Podium recognize my driver What a pity!
I've generated log file of that error and made a screenshot of the message that appears but I don't know how I could send it to you or post here. |

| The open source sound editor Audacity can do timestretch (they call it "Change Tempo") and many other things, like noise removal, compression, etc. |

At the moment I do not really care about time streching, but how to configure a driver of my audiocard for Podium could use the 100% of its power. |
