When you say loop, you probably mean to repeat an exact pattern. You can do this with so called phantom copies. Either hold the ALT key while dragging an event, or even simpler, select the event and press the INSERT key (above the arrow keys on your keyboard). Just press it as many times as you want to repeat the event – the copies that appear are aligned with the previous event on the timeline.
Phantom copies will have a “+” sign next to their name, and when you change something in either one of them, the change will be reflected in all phantom copies. To make a new unique event out of a phantom copy, right-click it and select Clone from the menu.
There is nothing like phantom copies In Reaper, I believe. On the other hand, the way that looping an event works in Reaper can’t be reproduced in Podium.
