These are the minimum PC specifications required for running Podium:
Installation
The Podium installer uses the Microsoft Windows Installer .msi package format. If you're using Windows 2000 and the installer does not run, please update the Windows Installer service on your system. This link redirects to the download page on microsoft.com:

Podium supports ASIO and standard Windows Wave/MME sound card drivers. The best performance is achieved with ASIO drivers. If your sound card does not come with an ASIO driver, and you're running Windows 2000 or XP, you may want to try the free ASIO4ALL generic driver. If this driver works with your system you will achieve a much lower latency and steadier input/output synchronization than is possible with MME drivers.

These are the actions performed by the Podium installer:
· Any previous installation of an older Podium release will be removed. This does not include the Podium.ini setup file or any projects you have saved in the 'Zynewave Podium Projects' folder.
· The installer stores information in the Windows registry required for Windows to be able to uninstall Podium through the 'Add or Remove Programs' control panel. Nothing else is written to the Windows registry by the Podium installer or the Podium application.
· The Podium executable will by default be placed in a new 'Zynewave\Podium' folder under the 'Program Files' system folder. The installer gives you the option to change this location.
· A collection of color setup files and a cache folder for Podium temporary files will be placed under 'Zynewave\Podium' in your 'Application Data' system folder. On Windows 2K/XP this folder is located at: C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Zynewave\Podium
· A new 'Zynewave Podium Projects' folder containing example projects will be placed under your 'My Documents' system folder.
· A file association is created for Podium project (.pod) files.
· 'Zynewave' program group is added to the start menu.
· 'Zynewave Podium' shortcut icon is placed on the desktop.
